How Publishing More Titles Can Snowball Your Writing Income

Writing never has been a great way to get rich. But if you’re serious about trying to make money from writing books, one of the best ways to bring in a little bit more money is to create more than one title.
Even though doing this certainly isn’t required or the ideal path for every writer, this video breaks down how having multiple books can end up snowballing financially. It’s also a great encouragement for new authors, as it means that even debut books that don’t initially perform well still can be successful overall.

Making money just from writing books is not easy. But if you are intent on doing it, here’s my number one tip to try and get you a little bit more income: If you have the ideas, try to get as many titles out as possible.
Now, why does this help? It creates, over time, what I will call the snowball effect. So, those first initial titles, you know, maybe you’re not well known, so they don’t sell as well as you might have hoped. But over time, maybe you get a title that does a little bit better.
And so then what happens is, the readers who pick up that particular title are like, “Well, what else have you written?” And they start looking for you, and they start looking for those other books. So, then all of a sudden, you start to have some traction on the works that you did before. And so, what you’ll see is this really slow start, and then everything kind of just blossoms.
So, if you can get enough titles over time, that can become very lucrative,. But again, you have to be consistent and putting those titles out there for people to find. But it is a tactic that you can try, and if you are a more prolific writer, it can work very well. So, just give it a shot. Think about it.
Take care, everybody. Bye.
